Welcome, handsome stranger. Please, do come in!

You’ll be Doing Alright

Based on a true encounter with a department store Santa when I was a kid, a story of resentment, illusion and clumsy attempts at atonement unfolds when old flames that are reconnected by algorithmic chance.

The piece was adapted from a more traditional format and shot last year in pre-vax quarantined production pods. This means that every shot was set up by the actors in it, and the family in the piece is a real, actual family IRL. My co-star Kate is a wonderful, regularly working actor, so it’s unsurprising that the whole team crushed it!

Good help is so hard to find

This project is very near and dear to my heart. What started as a joking riff between myself and a roommate became a script, which became a series, the pilot for which got shot in two days in November 2019. A millenial couple on the rocks seeks outside help to bridge gaps that grow ever broader between them. The help is….less than helpful. Premiering 10/23/2020 in the Human Experience Block at SJISFF!

Freaks: You’re one of us

I lend my pipes to the face of erstwhile blue-collar husband Karl in the English language dub of this darkly witty German superhero-dramedy, out now on Netflix!

Big thank you to the continued love from dubbing, ADR, and localization firm Horseless Cowboy for their continued support. Looking forward to getting back in the booth!

New Animation Demo

A big huge enormous thank you to Marc Graue and everyone at Marc Graue Studios for helping me every step of the way, in the middle of a global pandemic no less! I’m thrilled with how it turned out and you can listen to it below, so what are you even still doing reading?!

BLOOD RIDE

(S.1 E.6)

My voice? Norwegian actors? MURDER?! Thrilled to have provided the English dub for this fun, weird anthology horror show. Normally, I’m a subs not dubs guy….but narcissism will gladly have me make an exception!

AJ and the Queen! (1).png

AJ and the Queen (s.1, e.8)

WHAT A DAY! I’ve never felt so welcomed into a shooting family. The regulars couldn’t have been more kind and thoughtful, producers and directors were all insanely jazzed to be working on the project, and we only got crashed by ONE group of Korean tourists who thought the location was open for usual business.

Cymbeline

NCIS: LA

(S.10 E.20)

I got to meet and work with a bunch of legendary folks, do my first ever on set stunts, and work on Valentine’s Day. All in all pretty satisfying. If ya have to get shot in the head, it’s way cooler if LL Cool J does it.

An enemy of the People

CLOSED: My next show at Theatricum, a modern reimagining of Ibsen’s classic parable of mob rule, selfishness and arrogance. I play a sea captain with a good heart and zero know how.

Opens 6/22, closes 9/28. Buy tickets here.

Blind love

A lovely and moving short film I was lucky enough to shoot a day on. Shot in the new “screen-life” style of Searching and the Unfriended franchise, I got to pull double duty as actor and camera operator!

LADY INJUSTICE

CLOSED: The story of a woman on a transcontinental tour of revenge! I’m very excited to play Joe Cobby, a hapless hayseed in the very saddest kind of unrequited love. A new play, coming this March!

These new headshots from David Zaugh are great!
